Despite these, and being made to recall the Indonesian film 'The Raid,' I still enjoyed the movie, for being in a class above the usual Filipino shoot-them-up films. Anne Curtis secures her place as a viable female action star.

The story itself has an amazing pace, and in my opinion, has the perfect combination of romance, drama and music. The developments feel very natural and there are no fillers. The only 'complain' I can have from the story is that the ending might feel a little unsatisfying.

Even with a premise that involves time travel, there are interesting things in 'Honnoji Hotel'. That said, it's a fun movie and the atmosphere is very light, along with a lovely fantasy cinematography, make the film engaging.
